While there are many things that one can do to maximize your android phones battery life, here are some tips based on our usage. While some bloggers and or Android developers would success to use a rooted phone, which can keep applications from launching themselves automatically, we prefer not to do so and or don’t recommend rooting android devices. In the process of writing this article, I also came across a very interesting app and a tutorial on lifehacker that talks about using Tasker.
Tips To Maximize Your Android Phones Battery Life
There’s a screen built into Android that most users don’t recognize at all. This screen shows the apps that are using up all your battery power and it helps you optimize your phone’s performance. On your smartphone navigate to
Head into Settings –> About Phone –> Battery use
- Adjusting the phone Backlight to be Less Bright saves battery power
- Disabling your Wi-Fi when not in use saves battery power
- Disable Bluetooth when not in use
- Use the android power widget to easily toggle GPS, Bluetooth, Wireless
- Disable Apps that Sync regularly
- Disable the GPS Location features if and when not in use
- Use task manager to identify power usage
- Remove Applications That You Aren’t or rarely use
- Disable home screen widgets you don’t require
- Avoid using animated wallpaper
- Use APNDroid to stop your entire data connection
- Keep the battery from getting too hot (Mostly found while playing games)
